We Believe That. . .

  • Jesus Christ is the true Son of God, our Savior and Lord.

    • And behold a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:17)

    • And the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased. (Luke 3:22)

  • The Bible is the Inspired Word of God

    • But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8)

  • Salvation comes through Grace by faith in Jesus Christ, as a free gift from God.

    • For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a results of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

  • Baptism for the remission of your sins, saves you as an appeal from a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God

    • Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you; not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven, as is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities and powers having been subjected to him. (1 Peter 3:21, 22)

  • God's Children are called to participate in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection through the process of baptism by immersion for the remission of their sins.

    • And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

  • God created humans, male and female, in his perfect image

    • So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27, 28)

    • And God saw everything that he had made, and held, it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31)

  • The chief purpose of man is to glorify God

    • So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31)

    • For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. (Romans 11:36)
